Just as one can make a lot of garlands from a heap of flowers, so man, subject to birth and death as he is, should make himself a lot of good karma. ~Gautama Buddha

Ryan,
I wanted to take a minute and thank you for the “Early Morning Buddhist Inspiration.” Right now I am in Iraq working on a local employment program. I read the Inspirational emails to my entire office every evening. I have several soldiers here that come in wanting to know “what the Dalai Lama has to say today!”
I just wanted you to know that here in Iraq, civilians like me and soldiers are getting small bits of the Dharma and are benefiting from it. I had two young Sergeants who were becoming frustrated with a rather stubborn older Iraqi gentleman. I overheard one tell the other, “Dude, be nice, don’t screw up your karma.”
Thank you for doing what you do!
Blessings to you from the Al-Qayyarah, Iraq Sangha!
